Overview The Senior Field Service Engineer performs on-time and accurate preventative maintenance in one or more modalities of equipment. This role follows Field Modification Instructions and Instrument Service Information bulletins. It involves troubleshooting and performing moderately complex repairs, leading equipment installations, and driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance of medical equipment in hospital or healthcare settings to ensure optimal patient care.
Perform troubleshooting, service repairs, and installations of moderate complexity.
Lead communications with customers and serve as escalation point for customer-related concerns, including installations.
Own customer issues from dispatch or issue identification to resolution.
Proactively engage with other team members to ensure appropriate solutions for the customer.
Lead installations, validations, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
Leverage customer knowledge and relationships to assist with contract and on-demand revenue growth.
Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution, and follow-up to drive customer satisfaction.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to meet regulatory and compliance requirements; document all work performed daily, including debriefing, metrics, and parts ordering.
Partner with customers and/or the sales team to recommend value-added services that improve customer operations.
Utilize the GEHC escalation process and collaborate with regional and national support to define and implement corrective action plans.
Qualifications / Technical Requirements
Educational and Technical Requirements
Associate degree in a related field or equivalent military education with 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment; or high school diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant experience
Technical capabilities in CT/MR/XR/UL/NM including troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
Valid Driver’s License.
Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Suite.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
Ability to be available after hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule including weekends.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
Physical ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit/stand for extended periods; good hand and finger dexterity.
