MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Position Summary: Generation of 3D models, general arrangement layout and industrial mechanical drawings such as; chute work, dust collection ducting, tanks, silos, etc.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with other disciplines on the design and development of projects.
Assist engineers with equipment selection and arrangement.
Perform site inspections and have direct interaction with clients.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years related engineering design experience is required.
BSME, or related field.
Must have strong material handling knowledge.
Experience with the design of conveyors, chutes, silo’s, bins.
Working knowledge and experience using AutoCAD, 3D modeling such as Inventor and /or Revit, and MS office.
Candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
Valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
Desired Qualifications
EIT/PE
Experience as a discipline lead for multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
Previous mining experience, EP, EPCM
