Tesla . Tesla is seeking a motivated controls engineer to develop manufacturing lines for our new Megafactory in Brookshire, Texas. As part of the Powertrain Manufacturing Controls team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new manufacturing lines for Megapack battery modules and general assembly. Join our team to build machines producing world-leading products and accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. What You'll Do
Design and launch manufacturing equipment for new products being mass-produced for the first time Develop next-generation controls systems that merge traditional PLC logic with modern software stack benefits Perform hands-on work with full-scale production equipment, from initial commissioning to mass production and ramp-up Contribute to Tesla’s hardware and software standards for future equipment development Lead machine suppliers to successful project delivery, including design reviews, factory acceptance testing, and coordinating across teams Travel, train at, or support other Tesla facilities until equipment move-in may be required for new hires What You'll Bring
Proficiency in programming PLC or industrial controllers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff) using ladder logic and structured text Experience programming and setting up industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA) Electrical schematic design experience using ePLAN or AutoCAD Experience in a manufacturing setting Hands-on troubleshooting and fixing electro-mechanical devices Familiarity with hand tools and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters) Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience Benefits
