Our client is hiring a Production Superintendent to oversee their 2nd shift operations, managing 5 Production Supervisors and 150 hourly employees across a high-volume, ready-to-eat food facility. This role is pivotal in driving daily production, maintaining compliance, and optimizing performance. You’ll mentor teams, solve operational challenges, and collaborate with USDA officials—all while promoting safety, efficiency, and product excellence.
Position Highlights
Leadership of multi-department operations: canning, marinating, IQF, packaging
Key collaborator with Maintenance, HR, and USDA Inspectors
Impactful role in improving yields, labor efficiency, and team performance
Competitive pay up to $100K, plus bonus, depending on experience
Relocation support: 30 days of housing + household move coverage
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3 PM–1 AM
Responsibilities
Oversee 2nd shift operations and daily production activities for a high-volume ready-to-eat facility
Mentor and develop teams across Production Supervisors and hourly employees
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards; collaborate with USDA officials
Drive continuous improvement to yields, labor efficiency, and overall performance
Qualifications
8+ years in Food Production Operations (Ready-to-Eat or Meat experience preferred)
5+ years of supervisory experience (managing supervisors is ideal)
HACCP, SQF, USDA compliance experience
Union experience a plus
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Bilingual English/Spanish and continuous improvement experience are a plus
