Sr Engineer II, Electronics – Masimo
As a Senior Electronics Engineer II, you will be a part of the R&D engineering team, directly contributing to the design and implementation of the instrumentation for the electronic hardware utilized in our medical devices.
Responsibilities
Design ownership and oversee the engineering life cycle of hardware including architecture, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance Development of systems and printed circuit boards PCB layout and schematic entry Perform and oversee hardware verification testing Perform electrical design calculations Project scheduling/estimation Defining project performance requirements Minimum Requirements
8 years of industry experience with product-level development Ability to articulate problems and solutions Good communicator with cross-functional team members (ME, SW, PMO) Familiar with product development cycle (concept-to-production) Ability to describe electrical systems in a block diagram format and also dive into details of each functional block Experience with designing and troubleshooting Analog circuits Developing code using C for embedded systems for board bring-up Experience with embedded firmware development using ST, Nordic, Atmel, Renesas, or other 32-bit ARM processors Experience with schematic capture tools: PADS, OrCAD, Altium Experience with electrical simulation software tools: Multisim, PSPICE, TINA Basic knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, USB) Experience with either overseeing or designing PCB layout Able to generate design-related documentation for project deliverables Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Master’s Degree with at least 5 years of experience Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday in Irvine, CA Preferred Qualifications
Experience with designing for compliance to IEC 60601-1 RF Design/Testing experience Medical device or biomedical device background Experience with integrating radio solutions in the BLE, WiFi spectrum Experience in designing for EMC compliance and troubleshooting EMC problems Experience in developing products in a regulated environment (Avionics, Space, DoD) Experience with electrical design for wearable electronics Multi-domain troubleshooting in Analog, Digital, and RF portions of designs Basic experience with Matlab Experience with designing for Signal Integrity Experience in interfacing to sensors (Pressure, temperature, humidity) Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
