Missouri Cancer Associates is an ACR-accredited site with high standards. Position based in Columbia, Missouri. Team includes 4 radiation oncologists, 3 dosimetrists, a chief physicist, and will add a staff physicist. Equipment: Varian True Beam, Elekta HDR, CT, PET-CT. Aria and Eclipse systems. Reports to the Chief Physicist. Responsibilities

Determine the need for, specify, and access dosimetric and treatment planning equipment and measurement instruments used to calibrate treatment equipment and monitoring devices, including ionization chambers, diodes, film densitometry systems, and related systems. Participate in the specification, selection, and acceptance of radiation-producing machines, accessories, and treatment-planning systems. Supervise maintenance arrangements for radiation treatment equipment. Periodically evaluate equipment for utility, reliability, and obsolescence; advise on replacement. Design and implement quality management aspects involving external beam radiotherapy equipment and approve procedures followed by staff. Advise physicians and develop protocols for monitor unit calculations; ensure calculations align with prescriptions. Participate in chart rounds to ensure prescription fulfillment and review dose/patient setup changes. Maintain documentation for treatment plans, QA, and calibration; participate in training of new staff and students. Conduct HDR and LDR brachytherapy procedures as needed; mentor junior physicists; familiarity with record-and-verify systems (Varis, IMPAC). Direct the radiation oncology physics program, including supervision of medical dosimetrists and other physics staff. All aspects of radiation oncology activities, including clinical physics, support, treatment planning, brachytherapy, and advanced procedures, must adhere to policies, AAPM protocols, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications

We are seeking a Medical Physicist to join our radiation oncology team in Columbia, Missouri. This is an on-site position open to board-certified physicist, non-certified physicist, or a junior physicist who is board eligible. Minimum requirement: MS degree in medical physics. Required Skills
