Jennings H. Mitchell and Son Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Engineer to support our growing portfolio of commercial construction projects. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with 2-3 years of field or office experience who are eager to grow into a Project Manager role. You'll work closely with experienced professionals and gain hands-on exposure to drywall and framing scopes on high-quality projects throughout the Baltimore area. Who We Are

Support Project Managers with coordination of day-to-day drywall and framing construction activities. Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and documentation. Help prepare project schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to facilitate project milestones. Conduct site walks to verify progress aligns with drawings and schedules. Assist with project budgeting, estimating, and billing support. Ensure adherence to quality control protocols and safety regulations. Attend project meetings and document important action items, decisions, and updates. Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in commercial construction (preferably drywall and framing). Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Familiarity with project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Onscreen Takeoff, Quick Bid, or Buzzbid. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Benefits
