We’re seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer III
to lead the design and engineering of facility electrical systems—including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and life safety systems.
This is not a controls or automation role . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building electrical infrastructure and be comfortable managing scope, budget, and coordination across disciplines. You’ll work on small to medium-sized projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, clients, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and manufacturers. Your work will directly impact the creation of high-performance spaces in the life sciences and food & beverage sectors. What You’ll Do Design and engineer electrical systems including:
Power distribution Interior and exterior lighting Grounding and bonding Fire alarm, security, and data/telecom systems Raceway and cable tray systems
Perform electrical calculations:
Power load, illumination, short circuit, voltage drop
Develop:
One-line diagrams, basis of design reports, specifications, and construction documents
Lead design efforts across all phases: Conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documentation, and administration Conduct field surveys and identify non-compliant conditions Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction activities Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal training initiatives Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless project execution Qualifications Required: ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Technology Minimum 5 years of experience in the AEC industry Active PE license (preferably in Missouri) Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design calculations Familiarity with codes and standards: NEC, NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, IEEE Preferred: Experience in GMP manufacturing environments Proficiency with SKM Powertools or similar electrical analysis software Strong coordination skills with vendors and manufacturers Willingness to travel (~4–5 days/month) CRB is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
