Grid Connection Manager
An
Independent power producer
(IPP) with presence in USA is currently looking for a
Grid Connection Manager , who in coordination with the business development and construction teams, will lead the interconnection of renewable energy projects in USA, considering the technical requirements of the Utilities and Applicable Law. Responsibilities
Interaction with Transmission Owners and Transmission Providers to ensure grid connection of generation facilities. Negotiation with parties involved in connection nodes for the coordination of the necessary work and agreements to enable the timely execution of evacuation infrastructures. Presentation of technical connection solutions and analysis of alternatives. Procurement and supervision of engineering and verification of compliance with applicable regulations of the evacuation infrastructure. Supervision of the construction and commissioning of the evacuation infrastructures (substations and high voltage lines). Budget and schedule preparation and monitoring for the electrical infrastructures. Development, identification and monitoring of the critical path and project risks. Carrying out Technical Due Diligence of projects. Negotiation and supervision of EPC contracts for Electrical Infrastructures. Supervision of compliance with health and safety, quality and service standards. Management of compliance with the grid codes applicable to each generation facility. Delivery of project progress/status reports to management and sponsors. Requirements
Graduated Engineer in Electric, Electronic, Management or similar. Skilled in Energy, Power Systems, Power Transmission, Project Portfolio Management, Account Management, Substation, Contract Management, Renewable Energy and Smart Grid. Good understanding of regulation, Grid Codes and electrical standards. 10 years of previous experience with other IPPs, TSO, DSO or Electrical Infrastructure EPC companies. Previous experience with
ERCOT, MISO or PJM . Previous experience in team management. High level of English (C1). Advanced computer software skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and financial systems. Seniority level
