The Opportunity

We’re seeking a

Manager of Product Engineering

with prior experience in the lighting industry to lead and evolve our engineering team. This is a high-impact, on-site role responsible for driving product innovation, quality, and cost optimization. You will play a pivotal part in shaping our product roadmap, improving reliability, and accelerating go-to-market efforts.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Strategy

Lead and mentor a team of engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Define engineering strategy aligned with company objectives and product vision. Manage team performance and project execution to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Lighting Product Development

Drive new product development efforts from concept to commercialization. Ensure products are designed with manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in mind. Remain up to date with lighting technologies, trends, and industry standards to guide development.

Product Quality Assurance

Oversee rigorous product validation and testing processes to meet UL, DLC, Energy Star, and customer expectations. Implement quality control systems to continuously improve product performance and durability. Analyze data and customer feedback to identify areas for quality improvement.

Cost Optimization

Lead value engineering and cost-down initiatives while maintaining product integrity. Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing to optimize production efficiency and material usage.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience to ensure successful product launches. Translate technical details into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.

Process Improvement

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering excellence. Champion continuous improvement, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years of product engineering experience within the lighting industry (required). Proven success in managing engineering teams and cross-functional projects. Strong understanding of LED technology, lighting certifications, and global compliance standards. Experience in product lifecycle management, from R&D through mass production. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Starting at $120,000 +
