Structural Fitter Work Setting
Shop Position - Athens, GA Job Summary
We are hiring full-time, experienced Structural Fitters to join our team. Essential Functions
Adhere to all safety procedures when working with power tools, forklifts, cranes, welders, cutting torches, and PPE. Interpret blueprints accurately for layout and component positioning. Mark layout lines precisely using measurement tools to ensure proper fit and tolerances. Inspect welds and structures for defects, ensuring quality standards are met. Proficient in welding, flame and plasma cutting, grinding, and bending techniques. Education and Experience
3-5 years of structural fitting experience preferred. Flux core welding experience preferred. Work Environment & Physical Demands
Day shift typically from 6 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays and overtime possible. Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and navigate construction sites safely. Exposure to mechanical parts, heights, fumes, weather conditions. Ability to climb stairs/ladders, bend, kneel, crawl, and reach regularly. Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Benefits
