We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer passionate about ensuring high-quality mobile products at General Motors. The ideal candidate has expertise in automated testing with BrowserStack, a deep understanding of mobile app testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cross-platform environments. This role involves shaping testing strategies, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications. What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using tools like BrowserStack and Selenium/Appium. Conduct manual testing for features that cannot be automated. Use Insomnia for API testing and validating back-office integrations within the mobile ecosystem. Define quality standards, create test plans, and develop testing strategies for mobile app features. Utilize BrowserStack to perform cross-device and OS version testing. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery. Track, report, and collaborate on defect resolution using tools like JIRA. Perform performance testing to ensure optimal mobile app performance across various conditions. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Mentor junior QA engineers in best practices, tools, and frameworks. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in mobile application testing. Proficiency with automated testing tools like BrowserStack, PerfectoMobile, Insomnia. Knowledge of app testing processes on Google Play, TestFlight, Firebase, and Apple App Store. Proficiency with Gherkin and automated test development using page object model. Extensive experience with cross-platform testing tools like BrowserStack. Experience with test case management tools such as ADO and BrowserStack. Strong understanding of Android and iOS ecosystems. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps. Programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications

3+ years developing automated mobile app tests. Quality assurance and test automation certifications. Additional Information

The salary range is $131,000 to $202,000, based on experience and other factors. Incentive pay and benefits are included, covering health, wellbeing, retirement, and more. About GM
