Overview
Senior Engineer – Vehicle Dynamics Simulation. We are looking for a Sr. Engineer – Vehicle Dynamics Simulation to guide development of ride, handling, steering and braking attributes from early concept stage through execution. You will work with development engineers, software engineers and system owners across the company to develop and deliver world-class suspension, steering, braking wheel/tire and vehicle dynamics systems from concept to production.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and use vehicle/system models to support vehicle design and development
Provide objective data guidance on vehicle dynamics and durability performance based on simulation outputs
Guide vehicle development by subjectively evaluating vehicle dynamics performance in driving simulator
Analyze real world test data and correlate with models
Qualifications
5 or more years of automotive experience with a solid understanding of vehicle dynamics principles
Proven experience in ADAMS, CarRealTime, CarMaker, CarSim or similar
Understanding of Matlab/Simulink fundamentals
Familiarity with Python, C++
Advantageous
8+ years of automotive (or relevant) engineering experience
Experience with and/or working knowledge of simulation and analysis tools (e.g. ADAMS, Dymola, Carsim, Matlab, Python, etc.)
Experience with and/or good knowledge of vehicle assembly plant processes and practices
A creative problem-solving mindset combined with business acumen to aid teams in obtaining ideas as well as leading development and execution
Education Requirements
BS/BEng or MS/MEng in a related Engineering discipline
