Solution Design Controls Engineer
that understands ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) with a focus on Storage and Retrieval Machines and their on-board and off-board control systems to join our Customer Service Solution Development team in estimating solutions for our customers. What We Offer

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000 - $140,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Responsibilities
Understand the design of complex systems that integrate electrical controls hardware, programming and software to estimate complete controls solutions for customers. Complete material specifications; read and comprehend schematics and PLC programs and follow up on technical details. Provide recommendations for productivity improvement, cost reduction and customer satisfaction enhancements. Participate in providing estimates for semi-complex projects to the solution development team. Perform complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for processes and application of products to system design. Perform full range of standard work for the professional field. Explain and discuss complex problems to team members to provide proper controls solutions for customer requests. Identify and resolve more complex problems and apply problem-solving skills across most situations. Provide general guidance or training support for professional staff. Travel 10% (max 20%) to different Customer and Dematic locations across the United States. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's in Engineering 5-8 years of successful experience in related field (controls engineering and material handling) Experience designing and commissioning automated material handling systems, including electrical design, PLC, HMI, drive and motion controls Experience with estimating projects (hours, resources, etc.) Proficient in Rockwell Automation PLC programming languages with RSLogix Proficient with Siemens PLCs and Siemens drives Experience with AC and DC drive systems Good understanding of serial and Ethernet based communications and protocols Material Handling Equipment experience focusing on Storage and Retrieval Machines including on-board and off-board control systems, as well as palletizing and pallet conveyor, with ability to conceptualize solutions and generate estimates to support Sales requests Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Preferred Qualifications
Ability to interpret complex, standard professional level controls work related to Material Handling equipment (SRM, pallet conveyor, Dematic equipment such as Dematic Multishuttle, etc.) Demonstrated ability to determine requirements from customers while selling ideas Strong verbal and written communication skills Willingness to stay current with the latest material handling concepts Ability to manage numerous opportunities and deadlines Ability to forecast and report on the status of projects Seniority level
