The Controls Engineer will analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems in manufacturing. Must work autonomously and in a team, with occasional guidance. This is an off‑shift second shift position; overtime will be required. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems in manufacturing operations. Design and modify electrical control circuits and programs. Perform a wide range of engineering tasks on stamping press equipment and robots using engineering software and hardware. Lead technical problem solving and work with cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Make contributions to the resolution of complex manufacturing problems. Implement new technology as required to improve manufacturing processes. Support and/or train plant electricians. Develop and plan electrical projects. Oversee project installations by contractors and plant electricians. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical experience. 5+ years of experience in controls engineering. 2+ years of Industrial Control System experience. Proficient in Rockwell PLC and HMI Programming. Fanuc robot experience. Ability to logically troubleshoot Servo and VFD Systems (Powerflex). Knowledge of Industrial Communication Protocols such as EtherNetIP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet. Must be willing to work any shift; overtime will be required. This posting is specifically for a full‑time second shift position. Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally. What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Knowledge of CNC and machining equipment. Knowledge of Industrial Cameras (Cognex, Keyence, Matrox…). Experience with Safety PLCs. HMI – Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell FactoryTalk View. PLC – Rockwell ControlLogix. Servo drive systems – Rockwell Powerflex and Kinetix, Bosch Rexroth, and Unico. Autocad and ePlan experience.
