This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
We are seeking a dynamic Manager of Manufacturing Ops & Assembly to oversee aerospace component production processes. This pivotal role will lead teams in operational excellence, collaborating with cross-functional departments to continuously improve manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, resourceful, and committed to high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details :
C Shift: Friday - Sunday (3x12, 5am - 5pm), Location: Space Coast, FL, Relocation: Available
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and optimize manufacturing operations for efficiency and quality. Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery schedules. Mentor manufacturing teams, fostering teamwork, openness, and information sharing. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to address manufacturing challenges and strategic planning. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and metrics. Monitor production performance and report to senior management, demonstrating sound judgment and adaptability. Ensure safety, regulatory, and company standards compliance, proactively addressing opportunities and challenges. Manage budget and resources for manufacturing activities. Support new product launches and scale-up production capabilities. Make informed decisions based on data and criteria, focusing on decision quality.
Team Focus & Domain Expertise :
The GS1 Final Integration team at Blue Origin manages assembly, testing, and delivery of the GS1 (New Glenn Stage 1) reusable booster, overseeing system integration including avionics, fluids, mechanical assembly, and engine integration. As a manager, you will develop strategy, oversee performance to KPIs, and ensure the vehicle is ready for launch.
Minimum Qualifications :
At least 1 year managing a team in manufacturing or aerospace. Over 5 years as an individual contributor in manufacturing or aerospace. Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, military, or equivalent experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Data analysis skills for decision-making and operational improvements. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces. Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office. Ability to build trust and contribute to an inclusive culture. Preferred Qualifications: Industry certifications, trade school training, or related degree. Experience in aerospace manufacturing or integration. Experience with fluid systems and chemistry fundamentals. Familiarity with CAD, ERP, and advanced manufacturing tools. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask. Knowledge of aerospace regulatory compliance. Proven leadership and project management success. Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
