Certified Medical Physicist (M.S. or Ph.D) - S. Austin, TX Texas Oncology is seeking a full-time Clinical Medical Physicist located at the South Austin, TX clinic at 4101 James Casey St #100 Austin, Texas 78745. The position will primarily provide medical physics coverage for the South Austin Cancer Center, working with two other onsite physicists, three dosimetrists, seven therapists, and two radiation oncologists.

Overview With more than 600 physicians and over 220 sites of service Texas Oncology is a pioneer in community-based cancer treatment. The South Austin clinic houses two Varian iX linacs, Elekta HDR, SBRT, SRS, and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. Treatment planning is performed in Eclipse and Elements.

All aspects of radiation oncology physics

Quality assurance

Clinical duties

Acceptance testing and commissioning

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Medical Physics

Graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency and board eligibility by the ABR

Temporary (and eventually full) licensure in the state of Texas
