Electrical Assembly Lead - 1st Shift at Switchgear Power Systems

1st Shift:

Monday - Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm.

Benefits Optional OT, Double Time after 44 hours worked.

Responsibilities

Accurately install electrical components and wire electrical control panels per assembly drawings.

Verify components with bills of material to ensure accuracy.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.

Train electrical assemblers on processes and procedures.

Participate in personnel review activities.

Participate in schedule / status meetings and update based on priorities and deadlines.

Maximize / manage material utilization and material needs.

Keep work centers clean and orderly.

Accurately follow company policies and standards.

Operate a computer terminal to look up engineering drawings and models.

Follow standard assembly procedures, perform rework and repair when needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong knowledge and understanding of blueprints and schematics.

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Manage multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines with attention to detail.

Be flexible with working hours to allow for occasional overtime.

Strong problem‑solving skills both individually and with others.

Use basic hand and power tools.

Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.

Hold high‑quality standards to meet customer specifications.

Self‑motivation with ability to work without much supervision.

Maintain a safety‑focused mindset while performing job duties and functions.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).

Ability to crawl and kneel in tight spaces to complete work.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn (preferred).

Qualifications High school graduate or GED and at least 1-2 years of assembly work and supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment or relevant equivalent experience. Individual is also required to have at least 1 year of experience with Solid Works 3D.
