Tootsie Roll Industries is hiring for the
Maintenance Mechanic
role. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be primarily responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining the production machines and plant facilities. This role is also tasked with performing preventative maintenance on production and plant equipment. Base pay range

Responsibilities
Ensure safety by following company safety rules, including Lock-out Tag-out, GMPs and SQF. Perform maintenance and troubleshoot equipment mechanical and/or electrical systems and facility support equipment. Inspect, operate and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Make timely repairs to ensure equipment reliability. Complete work assigned within time allotted. Support the Preventative Maintenance program. Clear oral & written communication skills in English required. Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED Minimum 3 years of experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintaining plant production machinery Able to work overtime and irregular hours when necessary Able to work professionally and effectively with co-workers to meet common goals Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills required Ability to lift 40 lbs Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification Ability to operate scissor lift Welding skills desired Fabrication skills desired Machining skills desired Electrical control skills desired Benefits
