Job Description Company: CACI - ATSSI Program, San Antonio, TX. Embedded Systems Engineer responsible for design, development, and testing of automated test equipment (Test Program Sets) for USAF customers. Tasks include hardware design (electrical and mechanical), software development for automated testing, product integration, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. Engineering leads assign development efforts for TPS and related aviation test equipment. What You’ll Get To Do

Develop Test Program Sets (TPS) and other aviation test equipment through the product life cycle (concept to delivery) within project-provided cost, scope, and schedule. Support test system development teams in operational and functional allocation; software applications at system and component levels; hardware architecture design, development, and testing; and requirements satisfaction. Design electrical circuits and allocate resources to meet test requirements and ensure correct interfacing between test equipment and units under test. Interface with customers regarding developmental efforts. More About The Role Responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, other hardware systems, or electrical engineering applications. Duties may include analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests and evaluating results as well as selecting components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. You’ll Bring These Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience. Software: Python, C#, ANSI-C or other scripting language; NI product software (TestStand, LabVIEW, CVI, etc.). Ability to read electrical schematics and design electrical circuits. Experience integrating hardware and software. Experience with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, closed-loop servo systems, and/or AC/DC power supplies. Ability to work in a risk-averse environment and participate in design reviews with justification. Nice To Have

NI product software (TestStand, CVI, LabVIEW, etc.). Development of systems to requirements and verification of requirements. Product development through production. Experience with US Air Force and/or Navy aviation maintenance organizational structure. Support equipment development per MIL-PRF-28800, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461. Familiarity with FAR and DFAR; IEEE 15288 lifecycle processes; PXI tech; PCB design (Altium or equivalent). Development of automated test systems (ATE) and TPS for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics and engine systems; MBSE architectures; ISO 9001/AS9100/CMMI quality standards. The base pay range for this position is $55,100 - $110,100 per year, with final offers influenced by factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
