The R&D Engineering Co-op position is for our Product Engineering Group focused in the Commercialization Engineering or Process Engineering. The co-op will be assigned a mentor and at least one “real world” project to complete during their assignment.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future

Must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week for 6 months, with or without reasonable accommodation

Currently holding a minimum of 2.8 GPA

Preferred Qualifications

Basic understanding of information technology infrastructure and computer platforms including Microsoft Office Suite

Working knowledge of Minitab and Business Objects

Be a rising or current sophomore, Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program

Declared major of Chemical Engineering

Currently holding a minimum 3.0 GPA

Responsibilities The R&D Engineering Co-op position is for our Product Engineering Group focused in the Commercialization Engineering or Process Engineering. We are looking for innovative thinkers that are proven problem solvers. The co-op will be assigned a mentor and at least one “real world” project to complete during their assignment.

Initially the individual would be expected to become skilled at making and testing paint.

They would be responsible for assisting in optimizing formulations and processes through Design of Experiments and statistical analysis of the data.

Potential to work with Operations for site projects.

They will also be expected to participate in monthly and quarterly meetings presenting their work as needed.

This position is for a minimum of 6 months starting in May 2026 with the option of being extended to 12 months.
