Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of electrical systems for water, wastewater, and industrial infrastructure projects. The focus includes power distribution, lighting, communications, security, fire detection, and control and monitoring systems. You will work from initial concept through final startup and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, innovative, and sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with process, mechanical, and instrumentation and control (I&C) engineers to develop design criteria, single-line diagrams, control schematics, and technical documentation. Design low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems to meet project specifications and requirements. Perform system analyses using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or other power system analysis software. Support project managers in project planning, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimation. Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful completion. Travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and other project-related activities. Key Skills & Experience
Foundational understanding of industrial power design and distribution, including motor control, variable frequency drives (VFDs), lighting systems, equipment layout, and related activities. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary environments. Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline EIT Certification or PE license Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements Note: This is a prospecting position for future roles. Arcadis offers benefits for full-time and part-time positions, including medical, dental, vision, EAP, 401K, life insurance, paid parental leave, and other programs. Salary range: $90,916 - $158,240, with actual salaries varying by experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
