Job Description

Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate is expected to report to Bowling Green full-time.

The Role:

Seeking a creative, highly motivated, agile thinker with a passion for automation. The ideal candidate has a background in electrical or computer engineering with strong programming skills and can perform at a high level in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include supporting manufacturing processes on the production floor, addressing production issues alongside quality, manufacturing, and maintenance teams, and maintaining and improving existing processes through continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily support of production operations focusing on personnel and equipment safety, process quality, and uptime, emphasizing automation and controls.

Support troubleshooting of equipment/process failures and identify effective follow-up measures.

Supervise skilled trades personnel when required.

Identify and execute projects to support safety, quality, cost, and reliability improvements.

Ensure equipment meets operational standards and compliance with GM safety and controls standards.

Maintain documentation for all equipment and develop maintenance SOPs.

Participate in downtime planning and launch activities.

Identify training and knowledge transfer opportunities.

Stay current with industry trends and update management accordingly.

Qualifications:

3+ years manufacturing experience.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge of automotive tooling and manufacturing processes.

Broad controls and automation knowledge relevant to automotive assembly.

Strong communication skills.

Willingness to rotate between shifts and work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Rockwell ControlLogix, RSLogix 5000, EtherNET/IP, DeviceNET, VFDs, Fanuc robotics, AutoCAD, electrical standards, NEC Code, and GM safety standards.
