As a Material Control Specialist II, you will play a critical role in ensuring that materials are accurately identified, procured, tracked, and delivered in support of complex engineering and construction projects. Your expertise will help minimize delays, control costs, and optimize the supply chain—contributing to the overall success of high-impact programs that support national interests. Responsibilities And Duties
Identify material requirements and prepare detailed take-offs from drawings where standards or methods are undefined. Provide procurement support and expediting aligned with project requirements. Assist with logistics, material contingency planning, and material management. Collaborate with Procurement, Construction, and Project Controls to coordinate material deliveries. Support construction teams and track material receivables on-site and at fabrication shops. Interpret P&IDs, drawings, and vendor documentation. Interface with internal/external clients and represent the material control function. May supervise a small contract or multiple small work units. Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) year accredited degree or global equivalent in a relevant field plus 5 years of related experience, or Nine (9) years of directly related work experience if non-degreed. Technical understanding of material control practices. Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Desired Skills
Degree in technology or related field. Deep knowledge of materials and their role in material control operations. Experience with logistics planning and contingency material analysis. Why Work at COMPA Industries?
