Torch Technologies is seeking a Mid‑Level Aerospace Engineer/Hypersonic Modeling & Simulation Analyst to join a growing Modeling & Simulation (M&S) team developing and refining a high‑fidelity hypersonic weapon simulation. The role requires data extraction, processing, and analysis of flight data to correlate and validate model performance, build and verify new high‑fidelity models, validate the thermal protection system, and conduct structural analyses for high‑acceleration environments. Technical and personal growth opportunities abound as the team expands in scope over the next several years.

Responsibilities

Perform data extraction, processing, investigation, analysis, and comparison of flight data to high‑fidelity models.

Build and validate new high‑fidelity models against flight data.

Validate the thermal protection system.

Conduct structural analysis of the vehicle in high‑acceleration environments.

Deliver and present briefing reports to customers.

Required Qualifications

U.S. citizenship.

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5 years experience in Modeling & Simulation, physics‑based modeling, or finite element modeling.

Proficient in Python.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to analyze detailed technical information and develop logical solutions within specified schedules.

Strong teamwork and relationship‑building skills.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience in modeling and simulation.

5 years of experience working in a DoD customer environment.

Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively brief diverse audiences.

Current Active Secret Security Clearance.

Schedule and Location Monday‑Friday; 8‑5. Customer‑site. Travel 0‑10%.
