The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to: The ideal candidate will act as an SME in AutoCad Electrical and perform at a senior level with minimal supervision. This role involves advanced tasks requiring knowledge of electronic applications, standards, and document control procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. The person may provide technical guidance to other professionals, including delegation of work assignments. Engineering Standards: Pro-actively provide guidance by applying knowledge of standards, systems, document control, codes and BV policies and procedures. Reviews project requirements and determines the correct format and contents of deliverables. Quality / Continuous Improvement: Promote quality within project teams; review design inputs for consistency; ensure deliverables comply with project codes and standards; maintain drawing control and historical records; demonstrate personal accuracy and drive change management. Engineering Production: Apply basic engineering principles to moderately complex design concepts; exercise judgment on deliverables; provide technical guidance to others; perform design calculations and material quantity estimates; use advanced design software; may review others' deliverables; may define work assignments and schedules; may participate in plant start-up activities in a specialized area. Project Coordination: Coordinate with design group personnel to review and exchange project information; support field activities; communicate design requirements, progress and schedules. Client Focus: Assist in identifying key client interests and drivers and communicate these to the project team; develop approaches to address client concerns. Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology: Help management develop and communicate design standards and process improvements; identify training needs for personnel; may be recognized as an area of expertise. People Management: Assist with performance management processes, recognition, and corrective actions; participate in career planning and development; supervise engineering technicians, mentor, delegate work, and provide feedback. Resource Management: Help monitor staffing levels and skill sets; identify resource needs and process requirements. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience. Preferred Qualifications Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology preferred; Bachelor Degree in Engineering Design Technology preferred. Technical skills: Advanced experience with AutoCAD Electrical (SDS); advanced experience with Protection & Controls drawings (AIS and/or GIS); intermediate knowledge of schematics, wiring, and panel fronts; advanced knowledge of engineering standards, document control, and BV policies; intermediate knowledge of industry trends; basic knowledge of construction & constructability; intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles; basic knowledge of procurement & contract administration.
