A leading electrical contractor in the Akron area is seeking a seasoned

Commercial Electrical Project Manager

to oversee large-scale electrical construction projects across commercial and industrial sectors. This is a high-impact role with a company known for its tradition of excellence, safety-first culture, and ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects nationwide.

Position Overview The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing electrical construction projects while ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of electrical systems, and experience managing field teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead commercial and industrial electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout

Coordinate with clients, engineers, and internal teams to ensure project alignment

Manage budgets, schedules, and procurement of materials and equipment

Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations (NFPA 70E/70B)

Supervise field crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and timely delivery

Provide regular updates to stakeholders and resolve issues proactively

Support business development efforts through client relationship management

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in electrical project management, preferably in commercial or industrial sectors

Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and safety protocols

Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Ohio Electrical Contractor License

OSHA 30 certification is a plus
