Are you a Geotechnical Engineer looking to make a significant impact on our projects? As a Geotechnical Engineer in our Construction Engineering Group, you will develop, analyze, and implement geotechnical design of temporary works for projects across the US & Canada. You will identify geotechnical considerations, formulate recommendations, and develop safe and economical designs that are compatible with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Provide constructability and technical design input on temporary works construction designs to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements throughout all phases of a project lifecycle from procurement, design, construction, and delivery. Design and draft construction means and methods for temporary works (pile-supported trestles, shoring, slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, falsework, formwork, groundwater management, materials, etc.), ensuring completeness and accuracy with regulatory standards and within the contract specifications. Review personal and peer design elements to optimize project constructability, cost effectiveness, and material quantities. Review and interpret project geotechnical data and design reports and contractual plans and specifications. Submit design for peer review or approval review in an accurate and timely manner to avoid construction delays. Senior engineer or manager to seal designs following approval review. Provide input for supplemental geotechnical explorations and laboratory testing based on specific project needs and considerations. What we are looking for

Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering required. Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) required; Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) preferred. 3+ years of experience in design and/or construction of infrastructure projects preferred. Understanding of fundamental soil mechanics principles. Proficiency in geotechnical software including SLOPE/W, SLIDE, Settle3D, Shoring Suite, PYW, APILE, SHAFT, LPILE, GRLWEAP, etc. Knowledge of AutoCAD, RISA suite, LARSA, and MathCAD is a plus. Strong technical writing skills and understanding of constructability and construction practices. Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize work. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
