About the Role: As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will support the sales team to drive revenue growth by providing innovative Managed Solutions, Cybersecurity and network designs to clients. This role supports regional sales teams and leadership in the pre-sales process, offering technical expertise, cost estimates, and design support with cross-functional collaboration. Act as the technical lead and product specialist in customer meetings to determine requirements, provide technical insights, and answer questions to build trust and rapport. Serve as a subject-matter expert on one or more technologies within managed services. Design viable data network solutions and prepare network topologies, drawings, and technical specifications; assist Sales with pricing. Review and validate service orders before submission for implementation; participate in kickoff meetings to ensure smooth service delivery. Prepare Project Delivery teams to execute on sold orders and provide technical support with Project Delivery, Provisioning, and NOC on issues affecting service delivery. Collaborate with Project Management to coordinate technical aspects of infrastructure implementation and ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation. Conduct formal and informal technical training sessions for Sales Engineering and Sales teammates. Work cross-functionally with Network Engineering, Network Architecture, and Product teams to validate Managed Solutions designs aligned with Crown Castle capabilities. Continually learn and stay current with industry best practices; pursue relevant certifications and training. Act as liaison to Product Management as a technology expert and voice of the customer. Performs other support duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Science (BA/BS) preferred or other relevant Engineering experience. 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or network engineering roles (e.g., Sales Engineer, Solutions Architecture, Network Engineer). Professional-level technical certifications relevant to area of expertise (e.g., MEF, Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Versa, Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, AWS, Azure CS, Google CS). Licenses and Certifications
Professional-level technical certification relevant to area of expertise (examples listed above). Work Experience
Proven experience in customer-facing technical sales. Experience with LAN/WAN configuration and implementation. Knowledge of OSI model and technologies at L2-L3. Experience designing and selling cyber security or SD-WAN solutions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio). Telecommunications industry experience preferred. Where You Will Work
This is a remote role with on-site/in-person collaboration as needed. Remote work must be within commutable distance of the Sales Market: Tampa, FL; Orlando, FL; Jacksonville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Atlanta, GA. Up to 50% travel regionally or nationally. Compensation
Salary range offered: $123,000 – $169,100 annually. Compensation may include incentive opportunities (bonuses or commissions) and equity incentives based on experience, role-related knowledge, and location. Benefits
