Job Summary and Responsibilities
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team.
You will perform radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures in various locations including clinics, emergency room, special procedures room, surgery, or patient rooms to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
Essential Job Functions
Prepares and operates radiology equipment for the correct size, depth and detail of a requested exposure area, based on physician’s orders and in adherence to department protocols.
Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing radiological exams/procedures and/or special procedures.
Performs incidental general office duties including answering phone, scheduling, filing, maintaining patient records, ordering supplies.
Participates in the training of the Radiological Technology student.
Job Requirements Education and Work Experience Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities required.
Work experience involving the current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department is preferred.
Licensure and Certification
Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required.
Current Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist required.
Current healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Additional Requirements Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Pay Range $35.25 - $52.83 per hour
