This opportunity is ideal for EM-trained physicians or those boarded in FM or IM with emergency experience.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in: FM, IM or Geriatric Medicine • Open to Residents and Fellows • Open to J-1 Visa Candidates • ???Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) • National Institutes of Health (NIH) • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. • Active unencumbered physician Texas state license • Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program • One year of work experience as Family Practice/Emergency Medicine Physician • One year of EMR experienceSKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. • Participates in relevant continuing education programs. • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks. Requirements: • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

Responsibilities:

• ED Volume: 14,000 annual visits • ED Beds: 9 • Inpatient Beds: 6 • Admission Rate: 5% • Coverage Model: 12-hour shifts with 24 hours of physician coverage daily, plus APP support • Documentation: Picis • Certifications Required: ATLS, ACLS, and PALS
