Overview
Modern Pain Consultants is a renowned Interventional Pain Practice seeking a full-time Medical Scribe/MD Resident with a can-do attitude and strong professionalism. This EMR-based role uses EMA (experience with EMA is beneficial but not required). The position is located in Hinsdale and New Lenox, with a focus on providing concierge level surgery scheduling support and patient care coordination. A long-term, stable position with opportunity for advancement is preferred. You will be computer savvy and able to assist with one-on-one consultations, explain how procedures may be covered, and manage follow up as necessary. Responsibilities
Document patients’ visits by taking notes and entering them in the electronic health records system in real time Assist providers in patient visits and consultations Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure consistent and comprehensive patient documentation Coordinate with the physician to complete and submit medical records Demonstrate working knowledge of medical terminology and accepted abbreviations Record exam details and demonstrate computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn new applications Communicate effectively with multiple members of the health care team Maintain organizational focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow Maintain professional demeanor and privacy considerations for patients and families Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information Qualifications & Skills
Scribe experience Familiarity with medical terminology Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM Familiar with EMA Proficient computer skills MD Resident - preferable
