Staff Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services. Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets in downtown Templeton, farm-to-fork dining, hiking and biking, and beach days at Cambria and Morro Bay. Job Summary: Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Master's Degree: Required Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred Speech-Language Pathology (SLP): Required Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required Essential Functions: Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment. Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments. Assists in data collection of patient outcomes. Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts. Supervises assistants and support staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
