The Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a BE/BC critical care physician for a fellow position. The fellowship is a one-year, non-ACGME program that provides exposure to all aspects of care for cardiac surgery patients, including mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, RVAD, LVAD, Protek Duo, and Tandem Heart), advanced heart failure patients, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and heart transplant. The Cardiac Intensivist Fellow will be part of a multidisciplinary team learning to co-manage a 27-bed Cardiac and Vascular Intensive Care Unit. Memorial Healthcare System’s CVICU and Cardiac Surgery team have maintained high patient-outcome rankings over the past 10 years. The Intensivist is an integral part of the cardiac team and will work closely with other Memorial physicians including cardiac surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, interventional cardiologists, adult cardiac congenital cardiologists, and heart failure cardiologists. Co-manage a 27-bed Cardiac and Vascular Intensive Care Unit as part of a multidisciplinary team. Provide exposure to and care for patients requiring mechanical circulatory support, advanced heart failure therapies, ECMO, and heart transplantation. Qualifications
Board-eligible or board-certified in critical care medicine (BE/BC). Eligible for this fellowship; graduates from an accredited medical school. Foreign graduates must hold a valid ECFMG certificate. Completed an ACGME-approved residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine-Critical Care Medicine, Anesthesia Critical Care Medicine, or Surgical Critical Care Medicine. Compensation and Employment
This is a full-time employed position with the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package commensurate with training and experience.
