Speech-Language Pathologist

to join our growing multi-disciplinary team in our IPR and Day Neuro settings. This is a Full-time 32 hour per week position with a Sunday through Wednesday schedule. The candidate will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to treat medically complex patients that include stroke, brain injury, Parkinson's and other acquired neuro diagnoses with co-morbidities including aphasia, apraxia, cognitive-communication deficits, motor speech disorders, voice and dysphagia. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional and patient-centered treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community, vocational or academic activities. Specific Duties: Evaluate the patient's level of functioning and develop an individualized treatment plan aligned with patient and family goals Participate in discharge planning including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required CCC-SLP certification from ASHA, TX-SLP certification from the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association required Dysphagia experience required. 3+ years of outpatient experience with adult neuro preferred. LSVT/SPEAK OUT certification preferred. Working knowledge and familiarity with AAC preferred NMES for swallowing preferred
