Overview
Location: US: WI: MILWAUKEE at Froedtert Hospital facility. This job is ON - SITE. FTE: 1.000000. Standard Hours: 40.00. Shift: Shift 1. Holidays: Weekends. Job Summary: Coordinates the daily operations of the Operating Room and pre arrival/recovery. Assists in hiring and the evaluation and supervision of staff. Participates in the budget process for the operating room and pre arrival/recovery. Ensures equipment is in proper working condition and available for cases. Troubleshoots equipment. Participates in evaluation of specialty equipment. Coordinates incoming and outgoing instrumentation with the company representative. Performs all functions of the staff Registered Nurse. Manages daily operation of the OR and pre arrival/recovery, as needed on a daily basis. Collaborates with supervisors, managers, directors, and leaders within Froedtert Health.
Experience Description: A minimum of three years as a recent RN in operating room, pre arrival/recovery, or critical care. Demonstrated competence in leadership is required. Scrub and/or critical care RN experience is preferred.
Education Description: Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required.
Special Skills Description: Laparoscopic Skills and Knowledge are Preferred.
Licensure Description: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. CNOR is preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
