Henry Ford Health Jackson is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiac Surgery team. This position is Monday through Friday, with 8-hour day shifts and no weekend responsibilities. The APP will provide comprehensive care to patients aged 18 and older, with a mix of outpatient clinic responsibilities and dedicated time each day to assist with cardiac surgery consults on the inpatient floor. Candidates must have an active ACLS certification and the ability to independently manage patient care. Cardiology and cardiac experience are preferred, and while new graduates are welcome to apply, they must have prior experience in an ER or ICU setting. A minimum of 3 years of cardiology experience in an undergraduate or graduate clinical role is strongly desired. Responsibilities
Responsibilities include clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first-line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, nurses, and other members of the medical care team. Works in accordance with credentialing and departmental guidelines. Procedures

Full-Time. 40 hours per week. 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday. Qualifications
NP – Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). PA – Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Licensure and Certification
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (proof of application required). National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. DEA/CSL, required through credentialing. Note: NPs do not hold controlled substance licenses; PAs do. When NPs apply, MI license number will be entered instead of a CSL. Experience
Cardiology/Cardiac Surgery experience preferred. If a new graduate, ER or ICU experience required. At least 3 years of Cardiology experience in an undergraduate or graduate clinical role. EPIC experience preferred. Skills
