Job Overview

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Medical Physics Resident to join their team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a board-certified medical physicist and radiation oncologist to gain experience in dosimetry, treatment planning, brachytherapy, and other medical physics-related tasks. Responsibilities

Develop and verify radiation treatment plans in consultation with radiation oncologists Participate in multi-image registration and dose calculation processes Assist with treatment simulation and procedures Perform and verify accuracy of treatment calculations under direct supervision Create and oversee implementation of complex treatment plans Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes Requirements

MS or PhD Degree in Medical Physics or related Physical Sciences from a CAMPEP-accredited Educational Institution Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience in a clinic Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn Great inter-personal skills and ability to work in a group Strong computer and/or engineering experience Benefits
