Mechanical Designer Job Description
The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery systems. This role requires applying engineering concepts, practices, and procedures. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is necessary to plan and accomplish goals. Responsibilities
Design, integrate, document, and troubleshoot industrial mechanical components to improve end user productivity, process reliability, and ease of use of multi-axis laser cutting, drilling, and welding systems. Collaborate with both internal and external customers to define the scope of work for engineering and manufacturing. Work alongside suppliers and fabricators to procure quality parts, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence. Assist and collaborate with other engineering groups, production teams, and supply chain as needed. Essential Skills
Proficiency in SolidWorks design. Experience in capital equipment and machine design. Understanding of automation, robotics, and controls. 3 to 5 years of experience in related fields. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree in Design or equivalent experience. Experience in designing, testing, and documenting mechanical solutions for existing equipment or product lines. Skills in researching, evaluating, and selecting components for machinery or equipment. Ability to create a bill of materials and utilize proper documentation techniques. Work Environment
The work environment is within a small to midsize company with around 50 employees. The company specializes in custom manufacturing for various industries. Job Type & Location
Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota and fully onsite in Champlin, MN. Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year. Strong internal company benefits are available. Application Deadline
