Assist in preparing accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for residential projects. Support tendering and bidding processes, including obtaining and reviewing trade/supplier quotes. Maintain and update cost databases, trade pricing, and estimating templates. Help prepare budgets and cost reports for ongoing projects. Coordinate with project managers, site staff, and suppliers to ensure timely flow of information. Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, changes, and discrepancies. Track and log change orders, RFIs, and addenda as required. Assist with project schedules, documentation, and general coordination tasks. Provide administrative support to the estimating and construction management team as needed. Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Estimating, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1-2 years of experience in construction, estimating, or coordination role preferred (co-op/internship experience considered). Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to estimating/project management software an asset. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Takes initiative and wants to grow with the organization. Pre-employment background check and drug screening may apply. Job Details
