Job Description Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) designs, develops, and manufactures advanced composite components to help our customers push the frontiers of innovation. Our core strength is producing highly tailored, complex composite components, including 3D woven structures, traditional and non-traditional 2D composite structures, and discrete through-thickness reinforcement technologies. AEC's products meet demanding performance and cost specifications, often surpassing metallic or conventional laminated composites.

Our expertise is featured on platforms like Boeing’s 7-series, Airbus A380, Sikorsky S-76 helicopter, and defense programs including F-35, CH-53K, and JASSM. We are committed to delivering high-quality, economical composite solutions through significant investments in infrastructure and automation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Support production in finishing (paint, edge seal, identification) and aircraft structural assembly.

Maintain assembly process documentation and manage changes in Product Data Management (PDM) systems.

Evaluate nonconforming parts/structures and provide dispositions based on customer specifications.

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Troubleshoot process defects to minimize production downtime.

Establish shop order instructions and repairs based on model-based definitions, datasheets, and customer specifications.

Identify and implement process improvements related to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Create and maintain process PFMEAs.

Shift Day shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Experience and Skills

Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.

Experience in developing and maintaining manufacturing processes; knowledge of lean principles.

Effective communication with technicians, engineers, and management.

Strong computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of finishing, drilling, or bonding processes preferred.

Experience with composite materials processing preferred.

Experience with building and production processes is a plus.

Familiarity with Catia V5, GD&T, Windchill PDM, and SAP is advantageous.

Minimum Education and Certification BS/BA in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent (AE/CE/IE).

Additional Information
