Job Description: Water Resources Engineer/Designer in Charlotte, NC
A full-service engineering firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a Water Resources Engineer/Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stormwater drainage planning, research, modeling, and design. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, collaborate with a dynamic team, and grow within a reputable firm. Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and develop stormwater drainage solutions for roadway and street projects. Conduct research, modeling, and analysis to support project planning and execution. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and drafting. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare reports, calculations, and project documentation. Assist with permitting and regulatory coordination. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in stormwater drainage design, particularly for roadway and street drainage. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills:
Experience with software such as ArcGIS, StormCAD, Flowmaster, HY8, CulvertMaster, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, AdobePro, ICPR is a plus. Additional Information:
