Design a variety of steel racking systems, including tuberacks, drive-in racks, cantilever racks, pushback, and pallet flow racks. Creative engineering: develop safe and economical steel racking systems that fulfill project requirements while adhering to industry codes and standards. Technical analysis: use industry software for structural frames, beams, bracing, mezzanines, and platforms to ensure structural integrity and performance. Collaborate with Project Managers, Design Department, and other team members to communicate engineering requirements effectively and ensure seamless project execution. Review and check structural drawings for accuracy. Continuously learn and develop as an engineer, collaborating with various teams to explore innovative solutions and career paths within the organization. Uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited school. Professional Engineer registration in the United States or 3-5 years of structural engineering experience. Strong knowledge of structural codes: IBC, AISC 360, AISC 341, ASCE 7, AISI, etc. Proficient in verbal and written communication in English. Preferred Qualifications
Strong background in engineering in the steel racking industry. Structural Engineer registration in the United States. Proficiency with a steel racking software package. Leadership experience. About Nucor
