LEDdynamics, a division of Fusion Optix, is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler for its production facility in Randolph, VT. This position is directly responsible for the assembly, testing and packaging of custom electronics products specific to the lighting industry. Work is performed on various product lines ranging from small hand assemblies to full-scale fixture builds. Expected working hours are from 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, plus overtime as needed. Job Summary

This position is directly responsible for the assembly, testing and packaging of custom electronics products specific to the lighting industry. Work is performed on various product lines ranging from small hand assemblies to full-scale fixture builds. Expected working hours are from 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, plus overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and bills of materials; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials as needed. Responsible for hand assembly of electronic components and fixtures including wiring, soldering, electrical testing, and packaging. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. Responsible for meeting daily production quotas on time. Reports on all production issues, malfunctions or defective parts. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and rules. Completes other tasks as assigned by shift supervisor.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination and technical ability. Strong communication skills: written and verbal. Willing to perform repetitive, or highly changing tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to work with a team in a fast paced and high mix manufacturing environment. Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools. Familiarity with computers. Ability to lift up to 60lbs.

Preferred

Experience soldering surface mount and through-hole components. At least 2 years of manufacturing experience. Experience with Lean Manufacturing. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 or similar specifications. Knowledge of ISO 9000 policies and procedures. Understanding of electronics.
