Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support electrical design efforts on multidisciplinary building design projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who is eager to grow toward professional licensure and take on increasing project responsibilities. Responsibilities
Assist in the electrical design of commercial building projects under the guidance of a licensed PE. Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and reports using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Support lighting calculations, load analysis, fault current, voltage drop, and protection studies. Conduct code research, coordinate with permitting agencies, and participate in plan reviews and field inspections. Review contractor submittals and respond to RFIs with oversight from senior engineers. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure design accuracy and constructability. Participate in internal and client meetings, presenting technical information and learning client-facing skills. Key Tools & Skills
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite Understanding of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems for commercial projects Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) Experience:
3+ years of experience in electrical design within the AEC industry Goal-oriented with the intent to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure Employment
