Overview
Use your knowledge of electrical engineering, processes and tools to help Honeywell-Intelligrated deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of material handling, warehouse automation and e-commerce fulfillment products by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
Collaborate with multiple engineering teams.
Good organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work with suppliers on delivery and cost of electrical components.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to manage assigned resources to complete objectives on time.
Perform specification review.
Test plan development and execution.
Create product documentation and training material.
Advanced knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA79, UL508A).
Plan, manage and execute project deliverables with little oversight.
Identify and communicate status and risks as appropriate to management.
Prepare and/or update reports and documentation.
Troubleshoot technical problems on new and existing products.
Identify areas for technical improvement.
Willingness to travel as required (10%).
Lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Mentor others and refine or develop standards and procedures.
Create complex test plans.
Understand customer operations and problems.
Promote coordination with project teams.
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
Experience with 480VAC power distribution
Experience with 24VDC systems
Experience with Profibus, ProfiNet, EtherCat, Ethernet
Experience with PLC and PC-based control systems
Experience with motor control including VFDs and servos
Experience with schematic design
Proficiency with ACAD, ACAD-electrical, MS Excel, Visual Basic, Oracle
8-15 years of experience in material handling or other similar industrial/manufacturing automation fields
