Plumbing Superintendent
to join our dynamic and expanding team. Role Summary
The Plumbing Superintendent will supervise and coordinate the activities of Foremen engaged in the installation of plumbing equipment and systems. Responsibilities
Interpret specifications, blueprints, submittals, and job orders as needed for each project. Assemble procurement orders for materials, equipment, and tools required at project commencement. Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, considering the capacities of equipment and assigned personnel. Conduct performance appraisals for Foremen and workers to ensure optimal job placement according to blueprint specifications. Study schedules and estimate man-hour requirements for job completion. Maintain time records and ensure timely procedures are followed. Analyze and resolve work problems to achieve win/win solutions. Train Helpers as needed, providing instruction on proper tool handling and work specifications. Make cost estimates for contracts when necessary. Interpret company policies for workers and enforce safety regulations across all work areas. Complete additional tasks as assigned. Minimum Requirements
Minimum of four (4) years of field experience as a Plumber in a Mechanical Construction Company. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience leading trade roles in commercial construction. Medical Gas Certification is a plus. GED or High School Diploma preferred. Proficient in shop math. Skilled in using tools, metals, and machines. Ability to visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches, or blueprints. Work within precise limits and standards. Ability to perform a variety of duties that may change frequently. Understand and follow English instructions; able to provide clear directives to assigned helpers. Safety Awareness
It is the responsibility of the incumbent to ensure they have received all required safety protective equipment and commit to using it while performing this role. Physical Requirements
Must have good vision (naturally or corrected) and be able to hear and speak clearly with professional grammar. Full use of hands, fingers, arms, and legs; ability to kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance on ladders and scaffolds, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift, and stoop. This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment. Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury. Benefits and Company Information
