Your Mission We are looking for a candidate with a passion for learning and employing on-orbit space vehicles to solve complex mission objectives. In this role you will directly influence the design and implementation of unique mission assets, and gain experience at every phase of the spacecraft program including design, launch, on-orbit test and checkout, mission execution, and customer training. Responsibilities
Conducting on-orbit space vehicle operations
Performing mission planning and risk analysis
Delivering high-level briefings with recommended courses of action
Developing and maintaining operational procedures and processes
Creating and delivering training products
Investigating and diagnosing unexpected system performance
Leading anomaly resolution
Supporting system maintenance coordination and execution
Basic Qualifications
Clearance: Ability to maintain or obtain a TS/SCI clearance
BS degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent discipline with 2 to 4 years of experience
Basic understanding of the space domain and orbital mechanics
Ability to develop and maintain operational procedures and training materials
Experience with creating and presenting briefings
Ability to occasionally work odd and/or extended hours
Experience making decisions in high pressure environments
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
Preferred Skills And Experience
MS degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent discipline
Strong technical background in orbital mechanics and astrodynamics
Operational space experience with rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO) or formation flight
Expertise with the mission planning process
Experience as an instructor or evaluator
Experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis
Experience with analysis, troubleshooting, and anomaly resolution of operational systems
Experience working with DoD customers
Able to identify and solve complex problems with little to no supervision or direction
Compensation
Base Salary: $100,000 - $135,000
Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience
Additional Requirements
Work Location—75% On-site office work is expected with hardware and flexible design work hours including remote work.
Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
Clearance: Ability to maintain or obtain a TS/SCI clearance
