Bala Consulting Engineers . Bala Consulting is seeking an expert in building energy performance to join our team as an Energy Analyst/ Engineer. Bala is a 200-person engineering firm with headquarters outside of Philadelphia in Wayne, PA and full-service offices in New York, NY; Boston, MA; Baltimore, MD; and Washington, DC. The firm emphasizes growth, client relationships, staff development, collaboration, leadership, and personal development. As an Energy Analyst/ Engineer, you’ll contribute to high performance building energy modeling and sustainability analysis, support energy compliance issues, and use data to inform energy and economic decisions. The role supports the firm’s commitment to the MEP 2040 Challenge and offers opportunities to grow into a leadership position within the firm. Responsibilities

Whole building energy modeling using IES-VE Energy efficiency measure analysis Net Zero Energy/Carbon road mapping Green building certification support (LEED, WELL, etc) Renewable energy analysis Incentive and rebate program support Electrification consulting Life Cycle Cost Analysis Energy Auditing Understanding of local and national energy codes and policies Consultation related to sustainability strategies, energy efficiency measures, innovative technologies, voluntary rating standards, codes, industry trends Develop energy strategies on projects relating to high performance HVAC, plumbing, and electrical/lighting systems Keep up to date on new and existing tools and sustainability strategies Qualifications

Ability to read, review, and evaluate architectural and engineering drawings and visualize three-dimensional models Familiarity with design tools such as Revit Basic understanding of proper system selection and applicable building codes Knowledge of LEED and WELL design principles; LEED accredited and WELL accredited or on track to accreditation Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a 4-year accredited college or university Benefits
