Base pay range
$115,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr A premier site development contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple land development and utility projects from pre-construction to final delivery. This role involves managing budgets, subcontractors, and construction timelines across projects that include land clearing, earthmoving, underground utilities, and paving. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with civil construction expertise and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Civil Construction Project Manager Responsibilities
Manage 5+ civil construction projects simultaneously ranging from $2.5M–$25M Coordinate land clearing, excavation, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, subbase, and paving operations Lead project planning with estimating, takeoffs, and subcontractor selection Conduct job site walkthroughs, inspections, and coordinate with superintendents Process and negotiate change orders with internal teams and external vendors Track and manage budgets, project schedules, and materials procurement Interface directly with clients, addressing concerns and maintaining expectations Use project management software and Excel for reporting Collaborate with VP of Construction and peers to solve challenges and improve operations
Civil Construction Project Manager Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in civil site development project management Strong background in land development, including earthwork, utilities, and paving Proficient in Excel Experience with Procore, Bid2Win, Agtek, and Office 365 preferred Civil engineering degree is a plus, but equivalent hands-on field experience is strongly valued Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a client-first approach Local candidates preferred
